A Letter to my Cats E-mail
Sunday, 28 May 2006
  Dear Cats,

When I say to move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with each other so there are still two of you in the way.

The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help, because I can fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king size bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of other cats sleeping, they can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing but sarcasm.

My compact discs are not miniature Frisbees.

For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. In addition, I have been using bathrooms for years -- feline attendance is not mandatory or helpful.

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other cats' back end. I cannot stress this enough.

To pacify you I have posted the following message on our front door...

Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Like to Complain About Our Pets:

  1. They live here. You don't.

  2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"-niture)

  3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.

  4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

  5. Cats are better than kids. They eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about buying the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and won't get pregnant because they've been "fixed."

The Many Layers of The Veil E-mail
Saturday, 13 May 2006

When your body has had enough sleep, you wake up. When you soul has had enough experience with its veil on, it begins to lift it, and this disturbs the sleeper who wakes up to a new view of the world; as reality and illusion, change places.

Just like the sleeper who cannot comprehend fully until he clears his head of sleep, so are those who first awaken spiritually. They are not abruptly shaken by the gentle hand of Love, but slowly is the light allowed to enter the mind. The awakening is ever increasing comprehension. More seeking followed by more light and the more the light the more the seeking. The veil is many layered and one begins slowly to see the environment, the self, other selves and the universe is a new way.

This is why no comparison is possible. You may have a layer removed that is still in place for someone else and to recognize that dismisses comparison. No two see the same way but the guiding hand of Intelligent Infinity and one’s soul knows when the time is right for the banishing of each layer of the veil for each one. This is why the saying, “when the student is ready, the teacher will arrive.”

So if you start seeing the world in a different light than you once did, this is the beginning for you, and if you do not resist this new intuition and new awareness, your mind will display an ever- increasing expanded view of everything including yourself.

Do not look at those still asleep but find those like you who are beginning to see in a new mirror and question the mirror humanity has been holding up.

Accept that today you know more than you did yesterday, and tomorrow you will know even more and that is how the veil lifts. If you try to educate someone who is not removed his ego, and his blocks, or has not forgiven self and others, is still seeing in duality and has not totally embraced the Oneness of all creation, then you your words are met with blank stares. You words are to them as one moving their lips but saying nothing comprehensible.

It is not the amazing discoveries that perplex the newly awakened person but the lack of amazement in the rest of the world, when he tries to describe what he knows. Here one must trust the order and care, that none will sleep on past the time they should awake and none will awaken too early. Each one awakens when they are ready, to through the veil of illusion and ignorance that hangs in front of every mind, until the time for the unveiling.

Thomas Jefferson E-mail
Tuesday, 02 May 2006
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and the corporations which grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."
